Serving the Whole Family

Dana, the daughter of a St. Joseph's alumna, entered St. Joseph's as a young first-grader. Upon her arrival, staff quickly noticed she had severe speaking difficulties and was nearly impossible to understand.

As soon as she arrived, St. Joseph's began wrapping services around Dana to give her the best care possible. As she began taking part in counseling, psychological testing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and language therapy, Dana began to improve. Neurological testing and surgery have also played a role in assisting Dana's speech.

St. Joseph's has worked with Dana to help develop her social and communication skills. At the same time, Dana's mother has been working with St. Joseph's staff to establish behavioral plans and has been receiving parental counseling.

Thanks to the support of donors from all over the world, we can help kids like Dana, and their families, reach their fullest potential.
